    EAC Tool

Your personal EAC is made up of four cost components (investment advice, investment management, administration and “other”). These are added together and expressed as an annual percentage of the investment amount, as shown in the results table below. Your total EAC depends on your own preferences, like whether you choose an initial lump sum or monthly contribution, and your Financial Adviser fees. Start off by selecting whether you have a Financial Adviser, and follow the steps from there.

    • 1 We may pay a portion of the investment management charge to your financial adviser if you have selected one. In these cases, the charge will reflect in the advice component.
    • 2 If you are investing via a debit order and your selected financial adviser is charging an initial fee, the fee will reflect in the advice component. In this specific case the EAC calculation is calculated using the Reduction in Yield (RIY) method, which takes into account both the advice fee and the loss of return from the charges. As a result of this, the charge will reflect larger than agreed (particularly in the first year).
    • For Fund particulars, please refer to the relevant Fund Factsheets available on our website.
    • All calculations include value-added tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate, where applicable.
    • All Investments are deemed to grow at a fixed 6% effective per annum (gross of all charges, but net of tax).
    • Charges for a portfolio of Funds are calculated using the weighted average of all fund values within the portfolio at the end of each respective period after all charges and growth has been taken into account.
