David Perrett

David joined M&G in September 2019 as Co-Head of Asia Pacific Equity Investments. He is the fund manager of the M&G Asian Fund and deputy fund manager of the M&G Japan Fund.

He began his investment career in 1991 with Prudential in London and later became Asian Equity Strategist. He held senior roles in Hong Kong and Singapore, including CIO of Prudential Hong Kong. In 2004, he joined UBS as MD and Portfolio Manager, later moving to UBS O’Connor. In 2014, he co-founded Port Meadow Capital, managing pan-Asian long-short equity strategies for institutional clients.
